Beside directory lettering, we created directional and ADA wayfinding signs throughout the halls and lobbies of Ocean West’s building. ADA compliant displays come with braille and tactile lettering. So all visitors will be guided to their proper destination. Moreover, the signs also go with the building’s high end look with their color matching.

Why a Lobby Sign Matters for Any Business

Make sure your business lobby sign fits into your interior design aesthetic.  After all, when decorating offices, each element – reception desk, furniture, paint colors, lighting – is carefully considered. On the other hand, we often see companies make the visual mistake of selecting a sign as an afterthought in an otherwise beautifully crafted office.  So ideally, signage should serve as the centerpiece of an office that compliments its surroundings, and vice versa.

Using “Exotic “Language in Signs? Be Sure to Avoid Translation Issues!

Using foreign or “exotic” words in your business’ signage? Here’s a little sign advice: better be sure you understand what you’re putting up or else it might look silly to native speakers.

How about an anecdote illustrating the perils of poorly translated signage? In Shanghai,  during the run up to the Olympics, all sorts of establishments for the tourists and athletes were being built. And among them was a cafe called… “401 ERROR.” We’re not kidding! People there were taking anything they found on Google and putting it on their signs. They didn’t bother to look up what the words actually meant.
